Leadership Transition at ARFC

The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce an exciting new phase in the leadership of the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children (ARFC).  With great confidence, we have appointed Kevin Zealand as Co-Executive Director, effective July 1, 2012.

Kevin’s transition comes after a decade of service and a track record of dedication to the ARFC’s mission.  As a former Program Director and Chief Operating Officer, Kevin has continuously been a champion for the organization, its programs, and its family of clients.  He is a graduate of New York University and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University.  Kevin will use his talents and abilities to build upon the successes of ARFC’s past, serve as a steward of agency resources, and add his voice to speak on behalf of vulnerable children and families.

Kevin is assuming the role formerly held by Terrence Zealand, Ed.D.  We are grateful for Dr. Zealand’s ability to imagine a better life for New Jersey’s most at-risk populations.  His immense vision 27 years ago created the platform for the breadth of services available today to children with specialized medical needs and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.  We honor his tenure as Terrence moves forward, continuing to serve as an advisor to the agency, and we welcome the path that Kevin Zealand has already begun to pave for the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children.

As we enter a new chapter in the organization’s legacy, our efforts continue to focus on helping children and families build resilience and healthy communities.  We look forward to Kevin’s effective stewardship and direction, alongside Faye Zealand who will continue her role as Co-Executive Director.

We are assured of Kevin’s ability to lead the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children and maintain its mission by upholding the core values of Health, Family, Compassion, and Advocacy.  Please join us in celebrating a new leader among New Jersey’s community of service providers.
