This fall, ARFC celebrates two pioneers and steadfast pillars in the fight to end AIDS. In the span of 30 years, Faye and Terry Zealand charted an ambitious course, asked others to join them, and, in partnership, took action against the hardest challenges facing children and their families. Along the way, they started journeys for others in the field to tackle and lead; they learned to stumble, fall, take a punch and still hold course; and they’ve even adjusted course as community needs changed over 3 decades. Faye & Terry, though, will tell you that their greatest moments include seeing a new member at the weekly support group meeting and carefully holding the hand of a 5-yr-old girl as she meets her foster parents for the first time. Thanks to all of ARFC’s supporters as we reflect on 30 years!
