25TH Annual Twilight Concert
Dear Friends of Twilight,
We look forward to Saturday, March 4, 2023, as we celebrate 25 years of friendship, music, magical evenings, and the pride in nearly $800,000 raised by a group of like-minded community members supporting a wonderful cause. We are celebrating 25 years of successful fundraising and the amazing work of the ARFC, who continue to work tirelessly for those impacted by AIDS. Our Committee feels it is time to look back with pride at our collective accomplishments with one last fabulous Silver Anniversary Celebration. The Pandemic prevented our hosting an in-person event for the past two years, and we are dedicated to making this concert the best ever! We also want to honor the legacy of ARFC’s Co-founder Dr. Terry Zealand who passed away on July 19, 2022. Along with his wife Faye (Co-founder), and his son Kevin (former Exec Director), and daughter-in-law Annie Chen (current Exec Director) – the Zealand family has provided the inspiration for Twilight’s long success and the commitment of a host of volunteers.
Since 1996, The Twilight Concert Committee has hosted annual concerts at St. George’s by-the-River Episcopal Church to benefit ARFC. 100% of the monies we have raised have gone directly to the charity. Any overhead event costs and production expenses are covered by the Committee members. Think about that commitment when you plan your charitable giving – not many organizations‘ events can claim 100% giving. Please see the attached report on current ARFC programs.
Throughout its history the Twilight Concerts have attracted new supporters and we have made many friends among our group of dedicated fans who have been with us since the beginning. Our highly acclaimed folk, gospel, and soft rock concert consists of well-known artists from the area. The wide-ranging musical arrangement makes it entertaining for people of all ages. Most of our musicians have been with us for the entire ride. This year they are planning to wow the audience with a “25 Years of Giving” theme. Think back on some of your favorites and make a suggestion on the Order Form, and we’ll forward it to our Music Director.
The concert is followed by a reception made possible by local businesses and volunteers. The food will be prepared and served with safety guidelines and the martini’s and wine will be flowing. The $75 concert ticket cost includes the opportunity to join the artists, Committee members, and the Zealand family in a toast of friendship and celebration.
Please join us in helping this amazing organization.
