22nd Annual Twilight Concert
St. George’s by-the-River Episcopal Church Celebrates Its 22nd Annual Concert to Benefit The Aids Resource Foundation For Children.
You can help support one of our church’s community projects by your contributions. Three parish members of St. George’s formed the “Twilight Concert Committee” in 1996 to help support St. Clare’s in Neptune and their summer camp program in Monmouth County as part of the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children (ARFC). ARFC opened in May 1987 and was the first transitional home in the country for infants and children with AIDS. St.Clare’s provides alternative housing for these children who are forced to reside in hospitals simply because they have no other place to go; not because of medical reasons.
The Twilight concert for Children with AIDS has raised more than $600,000 over the last twenty-one years-and has no overhead. Every dollar raised goes to St.Clare’s. For the twenty-first straight year, the concert will be held at our church on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. Our highly acclaimed folk, gospel, and soft rock concert consists of well-known artists from the area. The wide-ranging musical arrangement makes it entertaining for people of all ages. The concert is followed by an elegant reception made possible by local businesses and St. George’s hospitality committee. More than 200 people attended last year’s concert. We are grateful that every year more members of this parish support our efforts in so many different ways. Please call Carole Costell (732-236-6055) for details. Thanks for your participation in this worthy cause.
