24th Annual Twilight Concert

St. George’s by-the-River Episcopal Church Celebrates Its 24th Annual Concert to Benefit The Aids Resource Foundation For Children.

Three parish members of St. George’s formed the “Twilight Concert Committee” in 1996 to help support St. Clare’s in Neptune and their summer camp program in Monmouth County as part of the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children (ARFC). ARFC opened in May 1987 and was the first transitional home in the country for infants and children with AIDS. Today, ARFC continues to serve NJ’s most vulnerable across the state, concentrating on HIV-positive individuals who would otherwise be unstably housed or street homeless.

The Twilight concert has raised more than $650,000 over the last twenty-three years-and has no overhead. Every dollar raised goes to the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children. For the twenty-fourth straight year, the concert will be held at our church on Saturday, March 7th, 2019 from 5 to 7:30 P.M. Our highly acclaimed folk, gospel, and soft rock concert consists of well-known artists from the area. The wide-ranging musical arrangement makes it entertaining for people of all ages. The concert is followed by an elegant reception made possible by local businesses and St. George’s hospitality committee. More than 200 people attended last year’s concert. We are grateful that every year more members of this parish support our efforts in so many different ways. Please call Carole Costell (732-236-6055) for details. Thanks for your participation in this worthy cause.
